co-living for establishing family roots

The Skin, The Cut, + The Bandage

The proposal is based on a competition brief for a coliving community in Seville, Spain and was completed in five weeks. The goal of the design is to bond residents through cooking and dining with community spaces that vary in privacy type. Three solid volumes composed of the interior residential spaces spatially open toward the site block, and are wrapped in a semi-transparent mesh skin that is fully occupiable for community intent. A public central courtyard is created that connects to the continuing proposed park on the surrounding site.
